| Nordic Game Conference interviews |
21 Apr |
I am going to the Nordic Game conference on the 14-15th may, and while I am there I would very much like to do some mini video interviews like the one I did with Thomas Gravgaard at Gosuman Games.
I will be trying to catch the spirit of the conference as well as people’s thoughts about the future of the game industry. What will the future of gaming look like – what does the CEO dream of for the industry compared to the dreams of the student game developer.
Everyone participating will get their website link, their name, and their attitudes posted on my blog which gets distributed to the Danish Microsoft Student Partner network and certain other Microsoft blogs….which just means a bigger audience. Everyone participating will also be able to distribute the films on their own blogs and sites.
I won´t be asking about your current game projects unless you want it (and you can always just start talking about it while answering my questions) – in other words, I am not trying to do game journalism. I just want to catch the spirit of the business and our love for technology and games.
The goal here is that each “interview” won´t take more than 3-4 minutes to do, so it can be done in one of the conference breaks.
If you would like to do something longer and specific to your game or company, just let me know and I can make a video just about why your company/game is so great.
As mentioned the interviews will end up on my blog – and you can all link to it or get a copy of the video to post on your own blog or website.
I am hoping to end up with a “Nordic Game” video with a bunch of people answering the same question, as well as several videos with different people/companies talking a bit more in depth about what they think will happen with the future of gaming – and perhaps a bit about their current projects if they want. Also I am hoping to make a video about the career expo, about what the “recruiters” are mostly looking for, and what students should be focusing on.
Everything here is non-profit and I´m just doing it because I can

| The real story – Thomas Gravgaard |
14 Apr |
These last few days I have been working on a project I call -”The Real Story”- . I got introduced to it as part of my Microsoft Student Partnership, and basically it is all about interviewing interesting people who work with technology in their everyday lives. I am taking the project in my own direction now, building on the idea I got from Microsoft, so there will be more of these videos showing up here on my blog!
This video is about Thomas Gravgaard, CEO, Game software developer, and general nice guy of Gosuman Games. He has some interesting views on technology. The interview ended up being 13 minutes long, which seemed to be a bit too much for a single blog post. But perhaps I will end up posting more of it at some point.
I´m using Silverlight Streaming by Windows Live for this video – and man is it awesome! If you want to put video on your blog I would suggest you look into Silverlight. The way it handles the media files is just awesome, and you just embed with an iframe - it can´t get much easier!
But without further ado – here is the interview (hey that rimes!):
